Get Fuzzy: Beaver vs. Marmot

There are two version of today’s Get Fuzzy comic strip: The one that ran in many papers, and the one on the Web site.

Why? In the strip, Bucky is listing the different animals eaten for different holidays: Christmas, turkey. Thanksgiving, turkey…” and so on. Till Valentine’s day.

I should have done some searching on this a long time ago. Maybe I would have found others who agreed sooner. The local paper here (Wichita Falls, TX) ran the Beaver comic. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life…although it did take me a second to get it. I have a black and white phot copy, but good job on the color version. Glad someone posted it.

That is the opposite of what I’d expect - given the risque interpretation of eating beaver on Valentine’s Day, I’d think newspapers would refuse to run it, and you’d only see beaver on the website.
