Apple to bloggers: Drop dead

In court filings in San Jose, Apple said that bloggers are not “legitimate members of the press” and should not enjoy the kinds of protections that newspaper, television, and radio reporters do.

Speaking of large organizations and heavy hands, it looks like the folks over at Rocketboom have gotten crosswise with the Scientologists. The site that hosts Rocketboom’s comments, metadaddy.org, seems to be down this morning, following the airing of Friday’s satire on the wacky “religion”. There could be another explanation for this, but it looks like L Ron’s boys got to them.
