New York City!?! Be sure and take a Taxi Ride. That’s better then an old E-ticket at Disney.

The taxi was a gimme — had to get to the hotel from LGA. My wife is the white-knuckled one when it comes to those; I just enjoy the excitement. (This is because, while I’m from New York, she’s from *Upstate* New York. They scare easily.)
We also took the subway: the #7 to my dad’s house in Flushing. We sat in the first car so Sam could look out the window, and the motorman chatted with us on the trip, which was cool. He has a cousin in the Fairfax fire department, so there were some post-9/11 knowing nods.
No pastry, but FINALLY got a real bagel and real pizza. Chico’s is close, but just not greasy enough. It was good to be home… at least for a visit. I can’t believe people like living like that. :)
