I must have this in written form! Notes on the video: Maybe don’t bang you head on the wall again. It looks inappropriate IYKWIM. And use a bigger font on your monitor. The glances down tend to be distracting. But the content is awesome!
Hmm… that’s one vote for and one vote against the head-banging (the ‘for’ vote came via e-mail). I thought about just whacking my head with the mic, too — I just wanted an aside of some sort at that point. Hmm, again.
Agreed on the bigger font. I re-shot the end because I was looking at the monitor too much, but was too darned lazy to redo the whole thing. I don’t script myself, but I do list the talking points there, so I should be able to memorize ‘em. (I find that reading from a script sounds like you’re, well, reading from a script. :)
Thanks for the feedback — this is the kinda stuff I need more of!

I have to agree with greyrat about the glancing. Although I think I like the glancing down better than the glancing up from the last video. (I realize that that was thought, but I actually said out loud that I wondered if there was something above you on the wall.) Also agree with him about the head banging - it seemed out of place to me merely because it was so far away and off to the side - which is a little distracting. The sentiment was good, but I think a closer view of the banging would be more effective.
I really love the new video - and so does the group up in our neighborhood. You’re our favorite pseudo-television star. :)
Keep up the good work, Andrew. You are incredibly entertaining. :)

Andrew,
Great editorial! I enjoyed the cutaways.
Some tips on presentation:
Lose the microphone - its picking up sounds from your grip. Mount a shotgun mike overhead instead.
Put a drape behind you - the background is cluttered. Or, if you want to have fun, use a green screen and edit the background like a campaign event in post.
Mount your camera on a teleprompter to maintain better eye contact. see http://www.wallstreetfreethinker.com/otherstuff/PlastiPrompter/plastiprompter.htm
Improve your lighting - use a basic 3 source studio or photo lighting setup
Try some basic makeup - you have a bit of shine on top
You might try putting your cites at the bottom in a crawl or at the end.

Siad with the utmost respect and care - never mistake critique for critism. I’d love to see Andrew replace Andy Rooney.
