Yes, they have car shades with remote controls…

…and other things I learned doing a story about keeping your car cool in the summer. My goal: Making the kind of story that we’ve all read before into something a little more fun and new.

Yes, I read that article this morning. (Sorry, but I didn’t catch the byline to notice it was yours). You certainly explored the topic in depth! I did learn a little something: I consider myself a fairly intelligent guy, but it never occurred to me to toss a towel over the steering wheel.

And those back window car shades are worthless. It just gave our son something to grab at, pull down, and hurl up front at Daddy.

Ha! Imagine the fun he’d have with a remote-control shade! Up, down, up, down, up, down….

Our old infinity I30 had a remote rear window shade. It worked well enough - kept my kid from screaming from the wun in his eyes, but didn’t do much for cooling. Of course, the car was black, the interior was black, so cooling wasn’t exactly effective no matter what we did.

Great car though. We miss it.
