Why the Pats lost

Published 2/3/08

In the last few minutes of the Giants game, Fox flashed a picture of a “NY Giants Super Bowl XLII Champs” cap. We all yelled “Get it off!” because we knew a jinx when we saw it.

The Patriots weren’t that smart. They tried to trademark the phrase “19-0.” Talk about hubris. Talk about ego.

Talk about the NY Post, which in response filed to trademark “18-1.” Bravo.

Randy says:

That was a very satisfying game to watch. My theory is the Pats lost as karmic payback for being a bunch of cheating bastards. I really didn’t care about the game, except I didn’t want the Pats to get credit for a perfect season when they started the season as cheaters.

Andrew says:

Cheating, running up the score, generally being bad sports — they deserved to lose. I don’t feel sorry for them one bit.

It an age where the ends justify the means among our so called leaders, its good to see that cheaters don’t always win.
