it’s not that they can’t, they choose not to make their uninstallers remove all their leftovers, or (probably more likely) they choose not to pay their developers to spend the time to make the uninstallers complete. after all, their goal is to get their stuff sold and installed. Who cares after that?

Besides, most users are accustomed to running Windows, and have accepted the ‘fact’ that ‘Windows just gets slower and slower as it gets old’ so by the time it slows down enough to be horrible they figure they’ll just buy a new one. Feeds the market; keeps the economy churning along. Keeps those donated PCs on their way to churches and then on to the landfills.

try to remove internet explorer from your system and see what happens.
