2008 DC Hunt

2008 DC Hunt

Shots from my trip to the first annual Post Hunt in Washington

Bugs

Bugs

I've always liked macrophotography because I like to see (and show) things you can't see in real life. Bugs are my favorite subject, as you can see.

Chincoteague

Chincoteague

In 2006 we took a four-day vacation on Chincoteague Island, home of the wild ponies. We didn't see a lot of ponies, but Sam loved the beach.

Don

Don

My brother Don is eight years older than me, and he has a wife (Madi) and two kids (Noah and Indy). I've shot a lot of pics of him through the years.

Family

Family

You don't get to choose 'em. But you do get to photograph 'em.

Friends

Friends

Friends through the years -- some we're still in touch with, others we're not. So it goes.

In the Pit

In the Pit

I got to go into the pit at Martinsville Speedway and shoot the drivers. Well, their cars. All the drivers look alike with those helmets. And honestly, I couldn't care less.

Pets

Pets

We sure to have a lot of animals. At one point it was three dogs and three cats, but now it's a bit closer to normal.

Tommy

Tommy

I've been friends with Tommy Noble since 6th grade, when I was about 10 years old. He and I got into photography about the same time, and spent a lot of time shooting and working in the darkroom. Now we both have families....

Toys

Toys

When your kid has lots of toys hanging around, it's kind of hard not to want to shoot them close up. Very close.

Fostered Animals

Fostered Animals

We work with the SPCA a lot as foster parents -- that is, we take care of dogs or cats for a few weeks to help make space at a shelter.

There's really no such thing as a no-kill shelter. When "no-kill" shelters fill up, the overflow goes to the "kill" shelters. So the end result is the same.
