Neat competition going on right now: the AI Song Contest, which pits teams of programmers against one another to create the best musical number.

The contestants were invited to write AI programs or adapt existing ones to craft lyrics, melodies, and harmonies for songs lasting no more than 3 minutes each.

Voting is open until May 10.
