We love you just the way you are

Flinders University psychology researchers say that spending too much time touching up that selfie is bad for your mental health. Well, if you’re a woman between 18 and 30 at least. The idea is that spending too much time scrutinizing yourself focuses you on your “flaws” (which aren’t flaws) and leaves you dissatisfied with yourself and your body image.
“We found an increase in dissatisfaction following the selfie [editing] task was a based on the extent of editing being undertaken. This demonstrates that the editing of selfies is not a benign process but has negative consequences, even though participants reported being much happier with their edited selfie than their original photo.”

No normal person would prefer the one on the right anyway.
